Importance of Yoga

Aims & Objectives

  • Use of yoga to maintain overall health through practices mentioned in ancient yogic treatises like "Hathapradeepika" & "Gheranda samhita"
  • Use of yoga as a therapy in chronic & crippling ailments by simplifying yogic asanas, bandhas, mudras & pranayamas to a level where each individual is confident & comfortable while performing them.
  • Awareness about the importance of synchronized movements & rhythmic breathing throughout the practice.
  • Importance of following the "Yamas" & "Niyamas" by the practitioner as per its explanations in Maharshi Patanjali's "Ashtanga yoga".
  • Use of "Shatkriyas" & simple cleansing processes like Neti (Nasal cleansing), Dhouti(Stomach cleansing) & Kapalbhati(sinus cleansing) for internal cleansing & to enhance the benefits through other forms of yoga.
  • Make the practitioner aware of the Importance of Natural diet.
  • Leading the Yoga sadhaka to "make yoga a way of life."
